MCKINLEYVILLE, CA - The Arcata Fire District warmly invites the community to our Open House on Saturday, October 5th, 2024. In celebration of National Fire Prevention Week, we’re promoting the theme "Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You!" to encourage residents to enhance home safety by installing or updating smoke alarms.

Join us for an informative day where firefighters will share crucial fire prevention tips, offer station tours, provide interactive activities for kids, and showcase live fire and antique apparatus demonstrations. Local safety groups and community partners will also be present to discuss safety tips and community opportunities with attendees.

The Open House will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the McKinleyville Fire Station, located at 2149 Central Avenue, rain or shine. We look forward to seeing you there!
