Fire Prevention and Public Education Services

The Arcata Fire District provide inspection, plan reivew, code enforcement and public education services.

Our public education programs utilize the Hazard House . This interactive house provides engaging safety information and presentations can be tailored for all ages, from Kindergarten to senior citizens. The Hazard House provides safety information on topics ranging from gun safety, electrical  hazards, smoking and open flames and household chemicals. Purchased through a FEMA grant, the Hazard House is a great new addition to our public education programs. To request a public ed visit from Arcata Fire for your school or group, please click here.
