VALENTINE'S  DANCE

On February 12, 2011, the Arcata Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual fundraising dance at the Arcata Community Center.  The Arcata Hook and Ladder Co. #1 held its first fundraising dance on February 21, 1884.  This annual event will help raise funds for the construction of the new Arcata Fire Station on Sunset Ave. near Baldwin St.  Residents in the area served by the Arcata Fire Protection District will receive dance and ticket information in the mail in late-December 2010.

The event runs from 7:30 pm until 11:00 pm with music provided by the Delta Nationals.  There will be raffles, silent auctions, a no-host bar and a late-night hosted buffet.
