Boundaries

The Fire District boundaries range from Indianola in the south to the area of Crannell to the north.  The west boundary begins 100 yards south of the Samoa Bridge on Hwy 255 and extends east on Highway 299 to the area of 1100 block of Glendale Drive and ¾ of a mile into the community of Fieldbrook.  The Fire District encompasses the city of Arcata, the communities of Bayside, McKinleyville and Manila.  Other out-lying rural areas such as the Arcata Bottoms, West End Road, 4 miles up Fickle Hill and the Jacoby Creek area are also within our coverage zones.  Our District consists of private, City, County, State, and Federal lands containing over 13,000 individual parcels.
